On Saturday July 20th at 7 P.M. I visited Intuition Ale Works and visited their taproom. I did no official observations; my intent was to begin building a rapport with one of the employees and to set up the options for later interviews. I spoke with Riley, one of Intuition Ale Works’, beer tenders and he agreed that I could contact him to set up an interview. He also educated my on some of the groups that frequent the brewery, so I have a heading with regards to finding brewery patrons to speak to.

At 8 P.M. on July 20th I moved on to Bold City brewery, with the same intention as Intuition Ale Works. I was able to speak with one of their employees Will who works in the warehouse as well as the taproom. He agreed that I could set up an interview with him as well. Will also pointed me in the direction of some other patron groups that I plan to contact.

At 2:40 P.M. on Sunday July 21st I visited Engine 15 brewery, tasted their offerings and spoke with their tap room manager, Megan. She said she needed to put it past the owner, but that she would be happy to do an interview. She also said she would speak with the brewers and owners on my behalf to see if they would like to interview as well.  This brewery was very interesting because it is only 3 years old, is located in a strip mall, and out of all the three I’ve been to it is the most commercial looking.  It did however, smell overtly like Hops, which should be expected.
